Camileon Heels

By Alicia | May 31, 2007

Ahh the infamous high heel dilemma. Who doesn’t want to look elongated and slenderized with a great pair of heels? Pumps and stilettos look great with your suit or that fashionable pencil skirt you just bought but if you are traveling for work and running around during your day, your feet really pay the price at night! Here is an awesome new invention to still get the great look but keep your feet from agony at the end of the day. They are called Camileon Heels and were created by a brother and sister team who had a vision to create the first fully-functional adjustable height shoe. And their vision has since become a reality. This heel technology essentially creates 2 shoes in one. You can go from a 3 ¼ inch heel to 1 ½ inches in a matter of seconds. How does it work?

Well according to their website there are 3 easy steps and they can all be done without even taking the shoe off:

Step 1
Secure one hand around the top of the heel, while the other hand pulls straight down on the lower half of the heel to disengage it from its upright locked position.
Step 2
Push forward on the lower portion of the heel until it stops moving and is stowed directly under the arch region of the shoe.
Step 3
Push straight backward on the tip of the stowed heel until it is recessed slightly into the upper heel cavity and secured in its locked position.

To restore the heel back into its full high heel position, simply reverse the previous steps. Check out the video below.

They are available at a few locations as well as online in a number of different colors and styles. Check out their retail page for a list of locations to purchase the shoes or you can shop online right from the Camileon website. See, you don’t always have to suffer to be beautiful and fabulous!

Buy | Prices vary but range from $280 - $305. You and your feet are worth every penny!
