  1. Little People Big Clothes Volume 1

As the resident vertically challenged contributor for Damn I Like That! I can empathize with the woes of my fellow petite fashionistas. I’m not going to lie, sometimes I am proud and feel at an advantage with my 5 foot nothing statue. I don’t have to duck as much as I am walking around outside or inside to avoid trees or ceilings, I can get other people to do stuff for me with the I can’t reach excuse, and I have learned to walk in 4 inch heels and can pull it off without looking awkwardly tall and towering over people.

But when it comes to clothes, I wish I could get a few more inches so I can find stuff that fits. I have been waiting for my growth spurt but now at the age of 26, I have managed to accept the fact that I am going to be vertically challenged for life so it is no time like the present to start adjusting and find options that work. That is why I decided to help out my fellow petite girls with this great site we found to help find the perfect jeans to fit your body type and most importantly for us, your size!

Jeans are really tough to find in a length that doesn’t need to be altered. Some stores hear our plight and offer petite sizes like Express, Gap, and Banana Republic. However, sometimes when you find jeans that fit in length they may not fit around the waist or in the hip area or you find a pair of jeans that you love but after getting them altered you lose some of the fit or flare.

Zafu Site

Well there is a new site - www.zafu.com - that claims to find the perfect jeans in 3 minutes to fit your individual needs and wants. It is a pretty big statement, especially since it sometimes takes me 3 hours to find them in the mall, but here is how it works and how they find your matches.

Questions 1, 2 and 3 asks how your normal jean size typically fits around your waist if they gape, if they are usually tight or loose, and the shape of your waist whether you are curvy or undefined.

step 2

step 3

Question 4 displays several picture options and instructs you to choose which most resemble your assets. And ladies if you are bootylicious admit it so the results will be true to your body type.

Moving right down the anatomy the next question asks you to describe your thighs and the options range from slim to full and athletic.

Next comes all the important stats including your favorite jeans brand, your typical size, height, weight, and preferred length. I think this is some of the most important information that I think goes into finding the perfect brand and style of jeans.

The final 2 questions asks how you would like a great pair of jeans to look on your body and what areas you would like to minimize or accentuate and finally, what rise you prefer for your jeans from low to right at the waist.

Once you click Get My Jeans the site generates a listing of all the jean picks they recommend based on your criteria and your body characteristics. My search came back with 21 options and each has a star rating on how they will fit the more stars the better.

Get My Jeans

The results all include a link to How Does It Fit Me with a detailed description of why the specific pair was chosen and how it will fit on your waist, hip, thigh and seat. It also gives all the specific jean stats like rise, length, and leg shape.

And the best part of all, you don’t have to go far to make the purchase. Each result selection is linked right to the retailer site where you can purchase the jeans. It doesn’t get much easier than that!

So check out the site and take advantage of your own virtual personal shopper. And, you don’t even need to leave the house to be fitted. Maybe now finding the perfect jeans won’t be such an excruciating process!
