My laptop does not receive the love it deserves. I admit, I neglect it and treat it poorly at time. It usually just sits on the top of a wooden folding end table in my living room or on top of my legs while I am in bed or on the couch. I need to give it a better home because after all, if anything were to happen to it - my life would come halting to a stop. The Dave Laptop Table from Ikea would be a great workstation option. It also has a slot in the back for your power cord and is just the right size to comfortably fit your laptop.
