If you don’t have a Salad Spinner already, you really don’t know what you are missing. I can’t live without mine. I used to rinse my lettuce in a strainer and then sometimes get the extra moisture out with a clean towel or a paper towel but it never really got all the wetness out and certain kinds of lettuce really hold onto water like a sponge. Then it becomes soggy before even adding the toppings or the dressing. Sogginess for me is the kiss of death. The Salad Spinner is awesome. You put the lettuce in the basket and rinse it with water. You then put the basket into the plastic bowel, add the lid and press the handle down to start the spinning motion which releases all of the moisture from the lettuce. After a few spins your lettuce is clean, crisp and ready to be eaten.
