BCBG MAX AZRIA Turtleneck Sweater Dress

After recently getting into the reality series, “Fashionista Diaries,” I remembered a particular dress that one of the girls wore on the show and it was a striking beautiful gray color. Typically gray is a mish-mosh of white and black, but for some reason, when she wore it, it lit up and caught my attention immediately. Not knowing who designed her dress or where she bought it, I went on a hunt for one of my own and found the BCBG MAX AZRIA Turtleneck Sweater Dress to be pretty much exactly what I was looking for! This dress features a stunning bodice with rib-knit accents, on top a full skirt full of contrasting colors. Thrown around the dress, is a knit belt to match and a lot of character. Wear this with your best knee high boots or stilettos and bring out your inner fashionista.

Polar Ice Beer Glass by Metrokane

Polar Ice Beer Glass by Metrokane

I am somewhat of a beer snob with regards to the type and quality of beer that I drink. One of my main criteria for beer is that it must be really cold which is pretty much on the top of everyone’s list. No one likes a warm glass of beer. Once my bottle or glass starts to get room temperature, it is time for me to get a new one. The Polar Ice Beer Glass by Metrokane is a great concept for beer drinkers and can also be used for other beverages as well. It is an acrylic glass that keeps you beer cold without diluting it with ice. It has a center inset that can be filled with ice and is contained by a stopper below the glass. The ice will keep your beverage cold until you are done enjoying it and you won’’t have to worry about it getting watered down.

The Red Tent

The Red Tent

While I am not a feminist nor am I on the picket line fighting for women’s rights, I do like to read about women and their struggles over time, whether it be in the newspaper, magazine or a good book. It was suggested to me by a friend to try the book, “The Red Tent,” by Anita Diamant. It is a remarkable story about the struggle to survive as a woman in biblical times and follows the trials and tribulations of, Dinah, Jacob’s only female offspring. It is a heartfelt, moving and truly beautiful fictional story based on true biblical characters and accounts. Women will find the story empowering and men will find it engaging, but all the while both will be moved to great lengths by some intriguingly common themes; womanly strength, love, and wisdom.
