Friday, November 30th, 2007![]()

Here is something fun that will scare your guest. The Throwzini’s Knife Block is a lot more stylish then the usual knife block you are used to. It comes with 5 razor sharp stainless steel chef knives that are magnetically secured to their individual sleeves. They surround a little red guy locked to the wheel of death, making it seem as if has just survived a knife throwers attempts to kill him. It’s also functional and spins like the real wheel of death. The price wasn’t announce yet, so you will have to check back on the Urban Trend website later. If you can’t wait, you can get the The Ex which we wrote about earlier.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc Hobo Bag
Friday, November 30th, 2007
If you are looking for a purse that stands out as unique and absolutely different than any of the others you have hanging in your closet, then we certainly suggest this Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc Hobo. It features a herringbone printed nylon fabric that is woven to provide a fun and wildly unusual pattern. Although the pattern itself is unusual, what makes this bag is the Miss Marc graphic featured on the side of the front. It is a display of a small girl all wrapped up for winter, with her snowflake friend in front of her. While she is cozying up on the outside, good things are also happening on the inside with a great logo textile lining scrambled “MARC JACOBS” letters, and pockets for many things including your cell phone. Take this bag with you wherever you go this season, whether it be to run a few errands, work or school; it will remind you with it’s hot looks, that even on the coldest days of winter, there is always something warm to nuzzle up to!

Adidas SBS Track Top
Friday, November 30th, 2007
Ok, maybe RUN DMC isn’t around anymore, but that doesn’t mean the look of Adidas track jackets has gone with them. Now Adidas has taken their legendary jacket and created the SBS Track Top as the latest stage with a sexy twist. The jacket features the great design as a fully embroidered gold Trefoil appears on the back over a brown jacket with aqua accents. Although created for the main idea of running, biking and other forms of athletic exercise, the jacket has certainly made its way past these stereotypes. Wear it with a great pair of jeans and some Adidas sneakers. It can easily become more than workout clothing and move its way into everyday clothing. The jacket is a great way to bring the ever so shameful 80s in the 21st century with grace, style and pride.

Cubicle Notes from See Jane Work
Friday, November 30th, 2007

My first job out of college, I worked in a cubicle office space. I am now lucky enough to have my own office but I definitely know what it is like to work in a cubicle atmosphere. The cubicles in my previous job had high sides so as you are walking by you really couldn’t tell if anyone was at their desk unless you stuck your head over the side (which can really freak someone out) or if you came around to the opening to check. There were many instances where I would walk to another cubicle to find that no one was sitting there at the time. And if you need to pass a message along and don’t do so at the moment you are more likely to forget by the time your colleague gets back to their desk. That is why when I saw these Cubicle Notes from See Jane Work, I thought they could really come in handy to keep at your desk or by your side. They are available in nine different note themes including; Deal With This, Attached Please Find, Fax, Blah, Blah, Blah (my personal favorite), Do This By, Just Thought You Should Know, the standard To Do, Note to Self for your own desk and the a See Me. You can pick the one that best suits you!

Rachel Pally Orchid Crochet Mini Dress
Thursday, November 29th, 2007
While the warmer weather continues to rage on across America, it might seem foolish to break out those winter coats and snow boots. We couldn’t help, although still moving into the winter months, to offer this cute (yet mini) mini dress. The Rachel Pally Orchid Crochet Mini Dress may seem like something that should have been left in summer, but this crazy warmer weather has got our fashion radar in a tizzy! The Rachel Pally Orchid Crochet Mini Dress features a slight scoop neck with a crochet bottom trim. It is in a loose-fitting bubble bodice and has the tiniest of cami straps to finish off the look. As long as the warm weather prevails, so can the warmer clothing. But if for some reason the season decides to creep upon us…no problem! Just add a cute cardigan, maybe some leggings and don’t worry about a thing.

Stila Smoky Eye Palette
Thursday, November 29th, 2007
The smoky eye is one look that is very often desired by many women. It takes the right eye colors in the right places on the eyelid to achieve the right amount of smokiness. While I have tried to achieve this look for a night out, I am sure I still have a lot to learn and did not manage to achieve it perfectly. Stila now has Smoky Eye Palette in 3 different shade varieties, The Bronzes, The Emeralds, and the Grays. This is a must-have product because not only does it contain 4 eye shadow shades to create the prefect smoky eye, but the palette also comes with an audio track that walks you through each step of the process So now you can have a make-up artist assistant right at your disposal! The palette includes a base, lid, contour, and liner shade. The audio will tell you where to apply each shade and gives brush suggestions as well to create the perfect coverage and it’s all done in under a minute so it won’t lengthen your make-up routine. I don’t know about you but I am adding this to my Christmas wish list pronto!

Heart Cable Cardigan
Thursday, November 29th, 2007
Pour your heart (not your wallet) out with this two-button Heart Cable Sweater. It is a different approach to the traditional cardigan. Although much shorter and compact that your everyday cardigan, it still packs in the warmth and coziness and releases tons of cuteness! Wear it as shown with your standard turtleneck or if high necks aren’t your thing (as it certainly is not mine), we suggest a great button down (collar up or down is your choice). In a world of fashion where over sized shirts are ruling the nation, it’s a breath of fresh air to see something come into style that is more snug than your everyday maternity (appearing) wear. And while we do love both styles, something that is as contemporary and sophisticated as this makes us smile from ear to ear! A great addition to any everyday jeans ensemble for sure.

A New Way To Give Gifts With MyThings.com
Wednesday, November 28th, 2007Do you dread the holidays because you never know what to get your friends and family? Shopping for yourself can be hard let alone shopping for others which can cause even more holiday stress; will they like it, will it fit, do they already have something like it. And then there are those people on your holiday gift list that pretty much have everything you can think of and you just become stumped every time you have to think of a present for them. There is a really cool website that can take some of the stress away from gift-giving and help you find the perfect gift for others as well as make sure you get some perfect gifts for yourself too! It’s called the Giftlist from MyThings.com.
It’s a website that lets you find out exactly what the people on your gift list will want and will like. Here is how it works. You create a free account and create a list of possible gifts. You can then email this list anonymously to your friends and family through the website. They will be asked to rate the options or add anything that is missing and you will be able to track their feedback. And to make sure it is kept a surprise, they won’t know who sent them the list. You can also create your own Wishlist through the site and keep track of everything you want so you can give some hints out.
