Friday, December 28th, 2007It’s been an amazing year here at Damn I Like That!. I started Damn I Like That! on Thursday, March 22nd, 2007 with a simply post about a cool wallet I liked. Now, nine months later there are over 800 post, products and articles; the site has grown beyond anything I could have imagined. I couldn’t have done this without Alicia and Hali, who have contributed immensely to the site making it what it is today. I thank them wholeheartedly for their commitment and couldn’t have asked for a better group of writers.
I also want to thank all the readers and commenter for their contribution to the site. Thanks for reading and come back often! I thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.
This “best of” list is for the newer readers who weren’t around for the whole ride, and a recap for the older ones. Have a great Holiday and I will see you all in the New Year!

Last Minute Gift Ideas - Email Gift Cards
Friday, December 21st, 2007
(Source)
By now most of the deadlines for standard shipping have passed. There are still a few stores that will do overnight shipping but at an added premium. Those added shipping fees can bust your budget and make you rethink your gift giving. Your friends and loved ones shouldn’t have to suffer because you procrastinated. You can still get them a gift that will arrive on Christmas day without the shipping headache. Why not send them an Email Gift Card?
Email gift cards are the perfect last minute gift for someone you might have forgotten or waited to long to meet the shipping deadlines. You can set them up to arrive in their inbox on Christmas day and even add a little message. Why not get them a email gift card and send a message letting them know what you intended to get them? This also gives them the option to get what they want if what you would have picked out isn’t something they feel they need. Here are a few sites that you can use you give email gift cards. Also check your favorite site to see if they do it too.

Flying Alarm Clock
Wednesday, December 19th, 2007
If you have a regular alarm clock you’ve probable come up with a routine where you, roll out of bed, hit the snooze button and roll back in bed, all while pretty much staying asleep. If this sounds like you, then the Flying Alarm Clock will definitely change your morning routine and get you up on time. Unlike any other alarm clock, the effectiveness of getting you out of bed lies in the propeller on top of the clock. Once the shrieking alarm sounds, the propeller flies off and can land anywhere in your room. But the best part is, once it’s off, you have to get out of bed and place it back on the clock in order to make the alarm stop and turn it off. The only way this could help you more is if it picked you up and started brushing your teeth for you!

The winter months take a toll on your skin. It is easy for your skin, especially your hands, to crack from the harsh cold weather so a good moisturizing lotion is essential. The Soap & Glory Great Shakes Hand Cream from Target will ensure that your hands are silky smooth. It’s a good cream option to keep in your pocketbook or even in the office because no one likes to shake a dry or chapped hand!

Metallic Flutter Sleeve Top From Banana Republic
Tuesday, December 18th, 2007
We have already given a couple of dress options if you are searching for a glam look for New Year’s Eve. However, staying in for New Year’s Eve is never a bad option as well. It’s fun some years to just have a house party or a nice dinner for your close friends and still have everyone get dressed up but maybe not as fancy as if you were going out to a restaurant, bar or club. If you are planning a more laid back celebration but still want to look chic and shiny this Metallic Flutter Sleeve Top From Banana Republic would be a great option. It comes in metallic gold or silver. It’s 100% silk with a bit of a v-neck and boxed seaming at the top. The sleeves and the shirt flow away from the body so it would be great on any body type. The look is topped off with a black bow at the collar. This can be casual enough to wear with jeans or you can even pair it with black pants or a black skirt. This is definitely a shirt that will get you noticed as the ball drops so you can get your New Year’s kiss!

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007
If you’re having trouble decided what candidate or party to vote for, it’s OK, you don’t have to declare your vote just yet. Make a stand and declare you are not ready to “party” with this Anti-Political Party Tee from Urban Outfitters. This grey heather tee has a red, white and blue skull graphic on the front, letting everyone know you don’t fall into any-one’s political category.
