I have been trying to cook more to save money from constantly ordering and eating out. I have become a Food Network junkie and like trying different recipes that I see made on there. While they might not always look as good as they do on TV, they usually have always end up tasting good which is a good thing so I consider it a success. One thing I always struggle with is reading off the printed recipe or cookbook in the kitchen while I am trying to cook. My kitchen is really small so there is very limited space and I can never find a good spot to prop up the cookbook where it won’t get the way and where I can have easy access to it. I usually end up keeping it on the dining room table and have to run back and forth every time I need to see the next step in the recipe which gets really annoying. I found this Cookbook Stand from Crate & Barrel which I think is a really good idea and investment if you do a lot of cooking out of cookbooks. It’s cherry stained wood with a lucite panel to protect the book from cooking splatter. It’s not big so it won’t take up a lot of room on your counter top and it folds flat for storage when you are not using it.
