As we get into our mid twenties, the time approaches for wedding after wedding after wedding. And while we’d probably love to skip out on a few, how could we possibly miss any of our friend’s “special” days? While you may be thinking it is the end of the world (and your bank account) to attend so many weddings in the course of a few years, nothing can compare to the fiasco that goes down with the main character of the new released DVD, “27 Dresses.” Katherine Heigl (from Grey’s Anatomy) stars in this delightful film about a gal named Jane whose second career is a permanent bridesmaid. The movie even opens with her juggling one night between two different friends’ weddings; and somehow she successfully pulls off this disaster in the making. While Jane’s life continues to cycle like that of a big top circus, she rages on to pursue all 27 weddings…and counting. All the while balancing a wishy-washy career, a crush on her boss and a pesky reporter that won’t seem to leave her alone. And most importantly, forgetting to pave the way for her very own wedding, where she could finally give up that backseat as a bridesmaid.
