I Love You Toast Stamper from Urban Outfitters
Tuesday, January 29th, 2008
Valentine’s Day is on its way and if you have a special someone in your life it’s a great time to come up with a creative way to say ‘I Love you.’ Why not make your hunny a special breakfast on Valentine’s morning and now you can make sure that even the food proclaims how you feel for him with this I Love You Toast Stamper from Urban Outfitters. You place the stamper right into the piece of bread. It says that white bread would work best for this. Once the stamp has made its indentation you toast up the bread and the toasters ‘dark’ settings and your message will really stand out. This is a fun way to add a creative touch to Valentine’s morning.

Hot Chocolate on a Stick
Wednesday, January 9th, 2008
As the winter months are well underway it has been starting to get really cold here on the East Coast as temperatures have been dropping. Sometimes on cold winter months I would prefer to just stay warm and cozy in the house with a hot cup of hot chocolate or tea since I am not a coffee drinker. I usually just resort to the instant powder hot chocolate but I may have to try this Hot Chocolate on a Stick from Petrossian. It makes you an active participant in creating the perfect cup of hot chocolate. They are actual cubes of dark chocolate or hazelnut chocolate on a stick that you just add into a cup of hot milk or cream and swirl until the chocolate melts. Once you get the right amount of chocolate melted to your taste preference you can enjoy the rest once it cools. You will never drink hot chocolate the same again!

By now most of the deadlines for standard shipping have passed. There are still a few stores that will do overnight shipping but at an added premium. Those added shipping fees can bust your budget and make you rethink your gift giving. Your friends and loved ones shouldn’t have to suffer because you procrastinated. You can still get them a gift that will arrive on Christmas day without the shipping headache. Why not send them an Email Gift Card?

A New Way To Give Gifts With MyThings.com
Wednesday, November 28th, 2007Do you dread the holidays because you never know what to get your friends and family? Shopping for yourself can be hard let alone shopping for others which can cause even more holiday stress; will they like it, will it fit, do they already have something like it. And then there are those people on your holiday gift list that pretty much have everything you can think of and you just become stumped every time you have to think of a present for them. There is a really cool website that can take some of the stress away from gift-giving and help you find the perfect gift for others as well as make sure you get some perfect gifts for yourself too! It’s called the Giftlist from MyThings.com.
It’s a website that lets you find out exactly what the people on your gift list will want and will like. Here is how it works. You create a free account and create a list of possible gifts. You can then email this list anonymously to your friends and family through the website. They will be asked to rate the options or add anything that is missing and you will be able to track their feedback. And to make sure it is kept a surprise, they won’t know who sent them the list. You can also create your own Wishlist through the site and keep track of everything you want so you can give some hints out.

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007
I am not the biggest fan of wine (nor is my head the next morning), but I couldn’t resist this idea when I saw it. It’s a great idea for your next party, right in your very own home; wine tasting! No need to drive hours at a time just to taste a sample of some classy wine. Bring the vineyard to you with this Wine Tasting Party Set from Red Envelope. Included in the set are faux-suede wine bags that disguise your wine, so that guests can learn to appreciate the taste, not the name. Also included is, a faux-suede wine tasting guide, four faux-suede scorecard holders with pencils, five printed menus and forty printed scorecards. This is a great way to get the party started and keep it going for younger and older adults alike. Just make sure you check ID at the door!

Halloween Giant Fortune Cookie
Wednesday, October 10th, 2007
I don’t know about you, but Halloween is actually my favorite holiday! There may not be many gifts involved or a jolly man coming down the chimney, but dressing up and the ghoulish parties are always a fun time. Halloween is not far off and preparing for the festivities can be almost as fun as partaking in them. I stumbled upon this Halloween Fortune Cookie and realized it’s probably a super fun way to treat (and trick) the host of your next Halloween party! It is a giant cookie that is hand dipped in chocolate and then decorated with the cutest (and scariest) of icing decorations; like witches, ghosts and goblins (oh my!).
Although the outside is what draws the most attention, the inside can be a great bewitching surprise, as well. Personalize the foot-long fortune inside; then the company packages it and sends it ready for you to give as a ‘thanks for having me’ gift at your next Halloween party!

Wine That Loves
Friday, September 21st, 2007UPDATE:
I’ve been keeping track of Wine That Loves™ patiently waiting for the price and where I could buy it. Last night I checked their website and saw that they have indeed posted the price and you can also buy it online! The one drawback is that they don’t ship to the state I live in. I guess I’ll just have to keep checking back.
But if you are in one of the lucky states, then head on over to their site and plain a meal around a bottle!

Pairing wine with a meal has never been easy unless you were a sommelier. Most of us just stare at the wine list and find something we can pronounce not knowing if it will enhance our meal or not. That is until now. Wine That Loves™ offers a series of wines that pair with all the foods you love. Leaving no room for error, the bottles are nicely designed with a picture of the food it pairs with taking care of the guesswork for you. The dishes are based on most popular American foods. All you have to do is uncork and enjoy!

Personalized Recipe and Entertaining Journal
Wednesday, September 12th, 2007
I love the Food Network. It is usually part of my weekend television routine. But as I am sure my boyfriend would attest to, I watch a lot of cooking shows but seldom do I actually make the recipes that I watch. I have a few cookbooks and a lot of printed out recipes in all different places in my apartment. Usually, when I get in the mood to make something, I can never find the recipe. Williams and Sonoma has a functional kitchen accessory to keep track of all your recipe and entertaining tips. It’s the Personalized Recipe and Entertaining Journal, a binder where you can keep all your notes, recipe, and design techniques. It comes with sleeves to hold recipe print-outs and journal pages to keep track of all your entertaining and cooking notes. It is also leather bound making it a great keepsake and an awesome gift to give to a new bride or a new apartment or homeowner.
