Friday, August 15th, 2008
I love the approach of a new season because it means the perfect opportunity to shop for new shoes! And of course, for the upcoming fall and winter, closed-toe shoes are just what mother-nature has ordered. The Bonfire Ember Heels from Anthropologie are vintage-inspired with some feminine details. They are copper-colored with a 2 1/2 inch heel. They have accents of white detail around the lining of the shoes. They have rounded toes with white straps that go around the ankle and a brown bow with white stripe detail on the top front of each shoe. These would look great paired with a skirt or a dress.

Keds Bliss slip-ons
Friday, August 15th, 2008
Being a child of the 80s, I sure remember canvas shoes. Many colors, many styles, but always that cottony material that seemed to be a staple in my summer shoe wear. The king of canvas remains to be Keds, and with many new styles of canvas shoes, it is truly an honor to still be reigned as that. These Bliss canvas slip-ons are an adorable way to ring in the final days of summer, especially with a denim skirt or a pair of relaxed fit khakis. These shoes are a textured canvas upper in a casual slip-on wedge style, with a round toe. A contrast canvas trimmed collar and grosgrain trimmed bow at the side of the toe create an original, yet nostalgic take on the new age of canvas shoes. And while we remember Keds for producing some of the cutest canvas shoes around, we also remember them for providing us with comfortable and affordable shoes too. Long live Keds and long live the canvas shoe!

Guess Women’s Glorianna 3 Espadrilles
Wednesday, July 16th, 2008
Take it from a true shoe lover…you can never, ever have too many shoes! Shoes are what truly make an outfit complete. They are the icing on the cake and so much more. Why not dazzle onlookers with an exotic and totally unethical pair of shoes? After all, every gal is entitled to at least one pair like that in their life! I absolutely adore these Guess Women’s Glorianna 3 Espadrille, because of how different and artsy they are. With a beautiful floral design on the upper and a rubber sole platform on the bottom, this shoe is more than just a walk in the park. We especially recommend that you match them up with a jean skirt, after all these flowers are screaming out for denim, in a way no other shoe can! Also, make sure to keep your pedicure up to speed with a bright red delicious apple shade polish, obviously to match and coordinate with your new shoes!

K-Swiss Women’s Kirov
Tuesday, July 15th, 2008
Fruit punch has been a favorite drink for many over the years, but what about a favorite shoe? These K-SWISS Women’s Kirov running sneakers are bright and full of fight with their fruit punch coloring! Not only are they aesthetically pleasing, but they also pack a lot of great additions within. This is a great shoe for the up and coming runner. With its durability, Aosta rubber outsole, rubber toe bumper and lateral outrigger, this shoe takes a whole lot of whatever you decide to give it. Set your feet at ease; let them breathe and relax with each step you take and every move you make! Fruit punch may be full of sugar, but these bad boys are anything but sweet.

Charlton Fringe Sandal from Free People
Monday, July 7th, 2008
Pocahontas would be uber jealous of these puppies. The Charlton Fringe Sandal from Free People would make any gorgeous Native American green with envy! They feature an adorable suede fringe that dangles off the sandal delicately, yet perfectly! They are not your every day moccasin, but they definitely put a spin on the age old tribal classic. Wear these with lots and lots of denim to encourage a very native look. A short denim skirt or a pair of denim capris might work best, but don’t forget to also throw that denim jacket in there at some point. These scream comfort and originality, all the while placing a contemporary spin upon something worn for centuries prior. If you take a peek at the back of the sandal, you will be even more intrigued by the way that it covers the back of the heel to really offer a close resemblance of a classic moccasin. These just might be one of a kind.

Shape-Up Shoes
Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008
I have a love hate relationship with the gym. I love the way I feel after working out but I hate going to the gym. I have an internal struggle with myself each day knowing I need to do it but my laziness seems to win a lot. So when I see something that says it can help you get a workout without going to the gym I am instantly intrigued. These are called Shape-Up Shoes. They look like an odd version of your standard stacked flip-flops with thick straps. What makes them unlike the standard flip-flop is the extra stacked triangular piece under the ball of your foot. They claim that if you wear them for 30 minutes a day it will help tone your legs, core, and glutes. The key is to not put your weight on your toes or your heels but to balance yourself right in the center on the balls of your feet. Staying balanced on the shoe is supposed to help your posture and strengthen muscles. They also help diminish cellulite and ease any lower back pain that you might be experiencing. I don’t know if they work, and you might look strange wearing them, but anything that says it could replace going to the gym is worth a try in my book!
