Hookbox
Tuesday, February 12th, 2008
I am always looking for cool storage devices for my apartment. The Hookbox is a modern and sleek design that would be perfect to add to the wall of a hallway or the wall next to the front door of your house or apartment. It has a white exterior with your choice of black or red interior. The storage container at the top can be used to hold your keys, cell phone or anything else you need to quickly grab when you are on your way out the door. The hook at the bottom would be great to hang your handbag, umbrella, or even your lunch container so you don’t forget it in the morning. One of the reasons I like this also is the design of it. It can go with any interior design elements and will add a stylish and functional touch to your home.

Design Within Reach Nelson Eye Clock
Monday, January 14th, 2008
Don’t forget to always keep an eye on the time. It’s never been easier to do such than with this Design Within Reach Nelson Eye Clock. Mount this clock on to your wall and give some reality to the saying an “eye on the time.” Designer Nelson has created a masterpiece of not only telling the time, but also of artwork by turning the human eye into a figurative composition of geometric forms. The clock is a little bit of jovial immaturity crossed with a lot of sophistication. Able to be hung vertically or horizontally, the clock’s bold, graphic hands make for easy at-a-glance time-telling. It is made of solid brass and easily assembled and mounted although it’s massive frame. Now wherever you go in your house, someone will always be keeping a close watch on everything. Watch the clock’s hands tick time away as if the eye was alive! This makes for a great addition to any home or office.

Design Within Reach Recycling Bags
Wednesday, November 14th, 2007
Be environment friendly with these Design Within Reach Recycling Bags. Never pile high those glass jars or aluminum cans upon your counter top. And certainly never waste another brown paper bag packing in the unwanted and week old newspapers. Now you can use this set of four Recycling Bags, which offer a more softer and aesthetically pleasing version of traditional recycling containers and alternatives. Made of industrial-strength tarpaulin, these babies are waterproof and can be quickly washed out in the sink or outside with a garden hose. All four bags come in a different color to make it easy when organizing your glass from your plastics. In addition, Velcro tabs enable the bags to be placed together in a row and of course, handles make for easy carrying. You don’t have to limit these bags to just recycling; feel free to use them for whatever you can dream up. Storage in the garage? Toy box for the kiddies? The interchangeable printed labels are included and make it easier than ever to organize just about anything you can imagine.

My face literally “lit” up when I stumbled upon this piece. There is something about the translucent structure that just appeals to the eyes and now you too can light up your life with this Bourgie Table Lamp. It is a beautiful silhouette made of polycarbonate, which combines the look of yesterday with the striking beauty of today. It has a touch sensitive dimmer for easy lighting capabilities and also features a system in which the lamp can be adjusted to three different heights, depending upon your mood, your other furniture surrounding the piece, and of course, the occasion. The precision-cut base is three sided and made for whatever you can dream up; whether it be, a nightstand, desk, bathroom, patio, etc. This lamp virtually works in any type of room and matches almost any type of style you may have!

Design Within Reach Twilight Sleep Sofa
Wednesday, August 1st, 2007
Living in an apartment really makes you start exploring and testing space saving strategies. When you don’t have enough space for all the fabulous furniture you would like to have, you need to start looking for pieces that can serve many purposes while leaving enough space to move around. One problem I seem to have is where friends should sleep when they crash at my apartment since I don’t have a spare bed. This Design Within Reach Twilight Sleep Sofa would be a perfect investment. It can be a sofa, a daybed, a full bed, take your pick. The bolster pillow is also adjustable for three different positions depending on which is most comfortable. The piece of furniture was actually designed for a furniture competition that took place in Denmark. And, if I had any part in the judging, this would have definitely been my pick. It also has wheels on the back legs so it is easy to move around. What more could you ask from a piece of furniture?
